Reframing the story of medical innovation in the Hunter New England region
The Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) is a major centre for medical research in the Hunter region of Australia. With over 1,700 researchers, staff, and students, they investigate a wide range of health issues across 19 different research areas.

HMRI was updating its website and needed a copywriter to help them communicate their work in a clearer and more engaging way. Over several months, I collaborated closely with the team at HMRI to explore, develop, and refine their story.
This website update was one of the first steps in a significant rebranding effort for the organisation. It was a great opportunity to refresh the language used on the site and make their content more accessible to specific groups, including industry partners.
Working through their content across more than 100 web pages, I helped to bring focus and a stronger sense of their mission and brand to their online communication.
